National rose gardens rejuvenation project

We're thrilled to share that the National Capital Authority has commenced much-needed rejuvenation works on the iconic National Rose Gardens—our main outlook and an irreplaceable part of the precinct's character.

The gardens had become tired in recent years, and their renewal will breathe fresh life into one of Canberra's most historically significant and visually beautiful spaces. This restoration includes a complete reconstruction of the garden beds, new roses, improved drainage, revitalised paths and fresh turf throughout.

We can't wait to see the final outcome, but like all good things, it will take time.

In the meantime, construction fencing has been erected. While it's not the view we're used to, we know the final transformation will be worth the temporary disruption.

We remain open and are continuing to host events too, inside and out, with the same care and energy you know us for.

Once major landscaping is completed, just in time for Summer, the construction fencing will be removed and replaced with bunting, offering a front-row seat to the gardens' return to full bloom.

Thank you for your understanding and for sharing our excitement for what's to come.
